Spokane Water Rates

Spokane Water Rates

The City of Spokane is working to help people better understand the new water rate structure.

In years past the people who used more water got a bulk rate and paid less per gallon, that way if you had a large yard you could water with out fear of a huge water bill.

But now the city wants you to think twice before you turn on those sprinklers. The more water you use, the more per gallon you'll pay.

Organization Name Change Sparks Silent Controversy

As of July 1st, the Eastern Washington Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (EWCDHH) will be known as the Hearing Loss Center. According to their website, the name change was considered because of the expansion of their mission to people with hearing loss, cochlear implants and adults who deafened later in life. They also hope that the shorter name will be easier to identify and will differentiate the center from other institutions that have "Eastern Washington" in their name as well.
