Runner's Soul to host Sandy Hook Run/Walk | Events

Runner's Soul Spokane will host Strides for Sandy Hook Run/Walk to raise money for the victims of the tragic elementary school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.

The race will be held Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. and will start at Ripples/Red Lion River Inn (700 North Division). Funds raised will go toward the Sandy Hook Memorial & Scholarship Fund. Minimum donation is $28.

Registration includes a long-sleeve finishers shirt.

“Late registration will be available on the day of the run” at the hotel, according to news release. Late registrants will not receive a shirt.

An Italian buffet provided by the Red Lion will be offered after the race for $5 a person. Plaques will be given to the first, second and third place finishers of the men's and women's divisions. There will also be door prizes.
