On Saturday, April 27th, all proceeds of self-service dog washes at the Yuppy Puppy will be donated to the Washington Akita Group.
The Washington Akita Group is an Akita rescue group that places dogs in new suitable homes. Often times the rescued Akitas are in need of medical care that WAG provides. In this case, the donated money will go to help treat Winnie, a young Akita that was shot in February.
The Canyon Shelter in Caldwell, ID rescued Winnie and has been working with WAG to rehabilitate her. However, her post trauma care costs have reached nearly $1,000.
"Your dirty dogs can help raise the funds for Winnie's continuing medical treatment and The Yuppy Puppy believes that the animal loving community needs to support animals in need," said Aquila Brown, Owner, of the Yuppy Puppy.
"Partnering with Washington Akita Group will make a huge difference for Winnie, she needs your love to help her recover," Brown continued.
Self-service dog washes to benefit the Washington Akita Group will be from 10:00am-6:00pm on Saturday, April 27th.
